Post to TikTokLast updated 1 November 2026

1What it does

  1. When a brand hires you for a Creator post, you publish the video on your own TikTok account. Post to TikTok lets you do that from the job on Octoclip: you choose the file, the caption and every setting, and Octoclip posts only when you press Post.

  2. It works with a video, or with photos posted as a TikTok photo slideshow. You can still post from the TikTok app yourself and paste the link, as before.

  3. There are two ways to post. Post now publishes it straight from Octoclip with the settings you choose there. Edit in TikTok first sends it to your TikTok app instead: open the notification, add any TikTok sound, effects, text or stickers, and post it yourself.

2How it works

    1. A brand hires you for a Creator post. Film the video to the brief.
    2. Open the video in your job. At “Post it on TikTok”, press Post to TikTok.
    3. The first time, log in with TikTok and allow Octoclip to post. You come straight back to the video.
    4. Octoclip asks TikTok which account you are posting to and shows its name and photo, so you know where the post goes.
    5. Choose Post now, or Edit in TikTok first to finish it in the TikTok app with any TikTok sound.
    6. Choose the video file, or the photos, and check the preview. Pick the cover: a frame of the video, or one of the photos.
    7. Edit the caption, and a title for photos. The hashtags in it are yours to change too. Tick AI-generated content if AI made or changed the video, and for photos choose whether TikTok adds a sound.
    8. Choose who can see the post. Nothing is picked for you.
    9. Allow comments, Duet and Stitch if you want them. They start off, and any you turned off in TikTok stay off.
    10. Turn on “Disclose post content” and tick Branded content: TikTok labels the post “Paid partnership”.
    11. Press Post. TikTok can take a few minutes to publish it, and Octoclip shows you when it is up.
    12. Send the post’s link in the job, so the brand can review it.

3What Octoclip sends to TikTok

  1. Only the video or photos you chose, your caption and the settings you picked. Octoclip adds no watermark, logo or text to your post, and keeps no copy of the video. Photos reach TikTok through a link on media.octoclip.io and are deleted once TikTok has them.

  2. Every post needs you: one post at a time, to your own account, when you press Post. Octoclip never posts on a schedule or for anyone else.

4Questions

  1. Who can see the post? The people you choose, from the options TikTok gives your account: Everyone, Friends, Followers or Only me. A paid partnership can’t be set to Only me.

  2. Does Octoclip post without me? No. Nothing goes to TikTok until you press Post, or Send to TikTok when you finish it in the TikTok app.

  3. Can I use a TikTok sound? Yes: choose Edit in TikTok first. Your video lands in the TikTok app, where you pick any sound and add effects or text before posting. With Post now, photos can get a sound TikTok picks for them.

  4. What does the paid-partnership label do? It tells viewers a brand paid for the post, as TikTok’s Branded Content Policy and every Creator post on Octoclip require.

  5. How do I disconnect? On Octoclip, open Profile › Connected accounts and press Disconnect. In TikTok, go to Settings › Security › Manage app permissions and remove Octoclip.

  6. What data is used? See the privacy policy and the terms.
