Your details, and who sees them.

The controller is 8 Ventures Inc. Contact: support@octoclip.io. A brand that receives a creator's data through Octoclip, and Stripe for its payment checks, are each responsible for their own use of it.

We use the data you give us (such as your name, email, date of birth, company, profile, social handles, jobs, offers and delivered links), the data your use creates (such as payments, payouts, reviews and messages), technical data (such as IP address, device and logs) and the public profile of the social accounts you add.

We use it to run Octoclip and your contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR); to meet tax, accounting and other legal duties (Art. 6(1)(c)); for security, fraud prevention, improving Octoclip and legal claims, our legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)); and, with your consent, for optional analytics and marketing emails (Art. 6(1)(a)). The data needed for your account, payments and tax checks is required; without it you cannot use Octoclip. We make no decisions with legal or similarly significant effects based solely on automated processing.

If you connect TikTok or Instagram, we receive your account identifier, name, username, profile photo, follower count and the statistics of the videos you made through Octoclip, to verify the account and show you how those videos perform. Disconnect on your profile, or remove Octoclip in TikTok or Instagram, at any time; an Instagram data deletion request deletes the connection and those statistics. If you connect Octoclip to ChatGPT or Claude, the assistant receives Octoclip's answers to your requests, under that provider's terms.

Service providers that host, store, send, measure and help draft content for Octoclip on our behalf; Stripe, for payments and payouts; brands, who see the profile a creator applies with and what the creator delivers; authorities, where the law requires; and a buyer or successor of Octoclip. Octoclip is operated from the United States, so data is processed there and in other countries outside the European Economic Area. Those transfers rely on adequacy decisions, the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

We keep data while your account is open and as long as the purposes above need it, then delete or anonymise it. Records that the law or possible claims require are kept longer, up to ten years for financial records.

You can ask to access, correct, delete, restrict or receive your data, withdraw a consent at any time, and complain to a data protection authority. Write to support@octoclip.io.

Right to object: you may object at any time to processing based on our legitimate interests, on grounds relating to your situation, and to direct marketing without giving a reason.

Octoclip is only for people aged 18 or over. Optional analytics stays off unless you accept it; Do Not Track signals are not otherwise answered. Cookies are explained in the cookie policy. We may update this policy; the date above shows the current version.
